Scribe hits $1.3B valuation as it moves to show where AI will actually pay off
What Happened
Scribe Optimize is the startup's next major offering to help organizations identify where AI will be most useful.
Our Take
This one's actually reasonable. ROI assessment's the hard problem.
Most AI tooling gets sold as "automate X"—fine, useful at margins. But Scribe's doing something sharper: helping orgs *figure out* where AI actually pays off. That's harder, bespoke, genuinely valuable.
Documenting processes isn't where the money is. Knowing which of your 200 processes should be AI-first, and which'll just break things? That's the consulting-level problem most companies can't solve themselves.
$1.3B values positioning more than revenue (obviously), but if they nail this advisory angle, they own the supply chain. Right call.
What To Do
Ask them specifically about their ROI framework—the answer'll tell you if they understand the problem or just talk about it.
