Picsart now allows creators to ‘hire’ AI assistants through agent marketplace

What Happened

Picsart's AI agent marketplace will launch with four agents, then add more agents each week.

Our Take

Picsart's betting creators want to buy agents instead of building their own workflows. Here's the problem: most creators *hate* being locked into someone else's tools. They want control.

The real play here's for Picsart's *own* agents—AI assistants they control that keep users inside their editor. That's smart. Letting randoms sell agents? That's just marketplace theater. You're one bad agent away from tanking creator trust.

If they actually make it easy for creators to wrap their own workflows into agents (and keep most of the cut), it's interesting. Otherwise, this is a race to the bottom on commission splits.

What To Do

Watch if Picsart's own agents ship first or if community agents do—that tells you if this is real product strategy or just hype.
