↗What Happened
Google details how it is enacting security guardrails before rolling out agentic capabilities on Chrome.
Our Take
"We have security guardrails" from Google is... I mean, sure. They also said Chrome would never track users aggressively, and here we are.
The thing is, agentic features in the browser are wild — they can see everything you've typed, click buttons without asking, automate form submission. The guardrails probably work fine for their test suite.
Real question: who audits these in production? What's the rollback plan when the first major incident happens?
What To Do
Treat Chrome's agentic beta as a browser vuln tracker — keep it off production machines until third-party security audits are published.
