↗What Happened
Amazon Web Services on Tuesday announced three new AI agents it calls "Frontier agents" for coding, security, and DevOps.
Our Take
Gut: An AI agent that codes for days unsupervised is wild and real. That's the inflection point.
Kiro codes autonomously for days. No check-ins. If legit, this is "AI replace," not "AI helper." Technically impressive. Commercially terrifying for junior devs. Enterprises buy it anyway for the optics, never mind the technical debt in 6 months.
What To Do
If hiring juniors, focus on judgment and architecture—coding commoditizes next.
