the hub is just a centralized dumping ground for datasets. it's incredibly useful because it centralizes the messy, messy data science assets that museums and archives actually need to share. it solves the problem of data fragmentation, but it doesn't solve the data governance headache. it just moves the burden of organization onto the users. it's a massive utility for accessing archival content, but the curation effort remains entirely human and often neglected.
