Strengthening enterprise governance for rising edge AI workloads
What Happened
Models like Google Gemma 4 are increasing enterprise AI governance challenges for CISOs as they scramble to secure edge workloads. Security chiefs have built massive digital walls around the cloud; deploying advanced cloud access security brokers and routing every piece of traffic heading to externa
Our Take
The CISO scramble over edge AI security is completely warranted. Everyone builds massive digital walls around the cloud, but the moment you push those models to the edge—to factory floors or IoT devices—you create a massive new attack surface. The old perimeter model just doesn't work there.
We need governance that follows the workload, not just the network traffic. Security chiefs need to stop thinking only about centralized cloud security and start defining granular, context-aware policies for every piece of edge AI. If you don't govern the execution environment locally, you're inviting catastrophic risk.
What To Do
Develop granular, context-aware security policies specifically tailored for edge AI workloads.
