Risotto raises $10M seed to use AI to make ticketing systems easier to use
What Happened
"Our special sauce is the prompt libraries, the eval suites, and the thousands and thousands of real-world examples that the AI gets trained on to ensure it actually does what it's expected to do,” CEO Aron Solberg told TechCrunch.
Our Take
Risotto sounds like another AI wrapper startup, but the CEO's actual quote is revealing: eval suites, training data, domain examples. That's the moat, not the AI itself.
They're not selling AI—they're selling expertise packaged as AI. Ticketing's fragmented, outdated, expensive to support. AI + data + evals = defensible.
Catch: enterprise sales are slow and political. Speed to revenue is the real risk here.
What To Do
Build data products with domain expertise and eval frameworks; AI alone isn't defensible enough.
