Empromptu claims all a user has to do is tell the platform's AI chatbot what they want — like a new HTML or JavaScript app — and the AI will go ahead and build it.

Our Take

"Tell AI what you want, it builds your app"—this is the pitch that gets demoed once then abandoned. But who maintains it? Who deploys?

$2M pre-seed for a code-gen chatbot means they're betting on LLM quality and UX, not novel tech. Enterprises eat up "dev team for $50k" pitches.

Reality: you'll spend more time fixing AI-generated spaghetti than you saved. Fun product, probably won't scale past pilots.

If you try Empromptu, treat the output as scaffold, not production code.
