What Happened

Under the partnership, Infosys plans to integrate Anthropic's Claude models into its Topaz AI platform to build so-called "agentic" systems.

Our Take

Infosys needs this more than Anthropic does. They're bleeding to AI-native competitors and trying to rebrand Topaz as agentic. Claude integration's fine, but it won't fix their margin collapse or client stickiness.

Look, consulting shops integrating LLM APIs isn't news. The real question's whether Infosys can staff these with people who understand both Topaz and how to build real agents. Probably not—they've lost engineering depth. So it becomes a reseller play, grinding margins further.

Honestly? This is Infosys admitting they don't have their own model. As a client, you're betting on them retaining Claude expertise. History says they won't.

What To Do

If Infosys pitches Claude+Topaz, verify who's actually building and whether they're staying past project close.
