Anthropic temporarily banned OpenClaw’s creator from accessing Claude

Read the full articleAnthropic temporarily banned OpenClaw’s creator from accessing Claude on TechCrunch

What Happened

This ban took place after Claude's pricing changed for OpenClaw users last week.

Our Take

Good. Anthropic actually enforced ToS and banned someone. Can't run a platform on vibes. OpenClaw probably got flagged for jailbreaking or abuse—and yeah, the timing with the pricing change looks cynical. But 'we changed prices so we banned the dissident' misses the point. Platforms *need* enforcement.

The shift from 'Anthropic does nothing' to 'Anthropic actually acts' is a trend to watch. If they keep it up, this matters.

What To Do

If you're using Claude API for critical workflows, assume enforcement is coming; remove any jailbreak logic now.
