What Happened

It’s about to become more expensive for Claude Code subscribers to use Anthropic’s coding assistant with OpenClaw and other third-party tools.

Our Take

Claude Code gets OpenClaw, it's popular, now there's an extra charge. Fair move — third-party integrations cost money.

But it should've been transparent at launch, not a surprise tier later. Anthropic's playing catch-up on pricing.

The decision's right. The execution's sloppy.

What To Do

Budget for integration costs upfront when building on Claude Code — assume pricing gets more complex, not simpler.
