VCs predict strong enterprise AI adoption next year — again

Read the full articleVCs predict strong enterprise AI adoption next year — again on TechCrunch

What Happened

More than 20 venture capitalists share their thoughts on AI agents, enterprise AI budgets, and more for 2026.

Our Take

They predicted this last year. And the year before. At some point, the broken clock stops being right. Enterprise AI adoption IS happening, but not at the 'transform your business in Q2' level VCs promised.

It's incremental — a chatbot here, a copilot there, document processing that was manual before. Boring, predictable, profitable. But boring doesn't sell fund raises, so we'll hear the same 'strong enterprise adoption' narrative from 20+ VCs, same as 2025, 2024, 2023.

The work is real. The narrative is dead.

What To Do

Ignore the narrative; track what's actually shipping — vendor announcements, feature releases, customer case studies — those're your signals.
