Look, TIME just named eight rich guys 'Person of the Year' because they made a lot of money. It's not an analysis, it's a caption under a spreadsheet.
That list—Huang, Musk, Altman, Zuckerberg, Su, Amodei, Hassabis, Li—is basically 'who consolidated the most compute and capital in 2024.' That's factually accurate, I guess. But it's not insight. It's not journalism. It's just a roster.
The actual story is power consolidation in AI. Six companies, two countries, one outcome: everyone else gets API access or nothing.
