What Happened

With the new AI-generated content control, users who want to see less of this sort of content can dial things down, while those who enjoy it can choose to see more of it.

Our Take

Cool, users get a toggle. That's UX theater. The actual question TikTok won't touch: does their algorithm incentivize cheap AI-generated content because it's margin-positive? Spoiler: probably.

A content filter doesn't fix the upstream incentive. It's like giving someone a mute button instead of asking why the volume's cranked up. You'll feel more in control, but you won't actually see less AI junk unless TikTok stops profiting from it.

Check if the toggle actually reduces AI content in your feed or just makes you feel in control.
