Honestly? The AI-kills-jobs discourse is anxiety theater until we get actual data. Yeah, displacement is real—but we're conflating 'jobs changing' with 'jobs ending.' Silicon Valley keeps doom-posting because it sells tweets. What'd actually move the needle: one solid longitudinal study showing what's genuinely being displaced vs created. Net job loss? Fine. Wage suppression in certain sectors? Useful to know. But right now it's all speculation dressed up as inevitability. Stop the narratives. Get me numbers.
