Spotify continues to test its AI-powered “Prompted Playlist” feature, now rolling out the tool to Premium subscribers in the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and Sweden.

Our Take

They're still testing this? Rolling out to 4 markets is not a win, it's a slow rollout hiding low engagement numbers. If the feature worked, it'd be everywhere.

Spotify's betting on AI personalization, which makes sense—it's their actual competitive advantage. But "Prompted Playlists" (terrible name) isn't compelling enough yet.

Will it eventually work? Probably. Is it working now? Doubt it.

What To Do

Watch the rollout timeline; if it takes another 6 months to hit major markets, the feature's underperforming.
