Fordel's Take
SoundCloud is just the latest example of companies quietly inserting predatory AI clauses into their T&Cs. They treat subscriber work as free fodder for training models, and then they try to lock the user into those terms. It’s corporate opportunism dressed up as innovation.
They’re using the massive amount of content on the platform to train models without a clear, upfront compensation or explicit user opt-in that truly reflects the data usage. It’s shady business. We need stronger regulations forcing transparency on how copyrighted or user-generated material is used to train these giant models.
What To Do
Demand transparency and explicit user consent before using subscriber content for AI model training.
