What Happened

Slack just got a whole lot more useful.

Our Take

30 new AI features is how you say "we didn't know what to build, so we shipped everything." Slack's already a context-switch machine — meetings in one tab, Slack messages in another, someone's always yelling "did you see my message?" Adding AI on top doesn't fix the fundamental problem (bad async culture).

The useful ones? Probably the summarization stuff. Shit, if it actually cuts the time I spend reading thread backlogs by 70%, I'd use it. But "AI-heavy" usually means "lots of endpoints that mostly aren't ready."

Real test: does it cut meeting time? If not, it's just feature count for the earnings call.

What To Do

Test the summarization feature with your team for two weeks. Track whether meetings got shorter.
