What Happened

Nvidia announced three new AI weather tools today. Together, they promise to improve the accuracy of weather forecasts while also making them accessible to more users.

Our Take

Gut: Honestly? This is one of the few places where AI isn't bullshit.

Weather prediction is actually hard, actually valuable, and actually solved better by ML than traditional physics models. It doesn't make headlines because it's not LLMs trending this quarter.

But three new models that improve forecast accuracy for real meteorologists? That's impact, not hype.
