Model Cards

model cards are necessary, I guess, but they're currently just a compliance headache. they force us to document how a black box was trained, which is annoying when we're racing to ship. honestly, most teams just gloss over the risks.

the real issue isn't the card itself; it's the liability. if we train a biased model and ship it, the documentation doesn't stop the lawsuits. it's a legal requirement, not a design consideration. we need standardized metrics for bias testing, not just a summary.
