Mixup is a new, Mad Libs-style app for creating AI images from photos, text, and doodles
What Happened
The new app lets anyone use Google's Nano Banana in a fun new way, with fill-in-the-blank AI "recipes" that users can share.
Our Take
Mad Libs for AI images? Actually brilliant UX move. Skip the prompt-engineering paralysis—just fill in blanks, share templates, let people get to 'good enough' without staring at the blinking cursor. Google's leveraging Nano (which is fine, not great, but fine) to get this in front of people who aren't prompt experts. The real story isn't the model—it's that constraint breeds creativity. Mad Libs worked because limits made it fun. This does the same. Only risk: recipes become memes faster than actual utility emerges.
What To Do
Create a Mad Libs-style template for your next campaign asset and watch if constraints improve iteration speed.
