What Happened

The platform has attracted an eclectic user base. More than half of Fortune 500 companies are using Lovable to "supercharge creativity," according to Osika, who insisted retention remains strong.

Our Take

8M is the new vanity metric. "Half of Fortune 500 tried us" just means 250 companies ran an internal pilot. There's a graveyard of AI coding tools with huge user counts and zero revenue.

Coding assistants are binary—they work or they suck. There's no engagement to retain, no "sticky" feature. If 50%+ of F500 haven't converted to paid, Lovable's got a distribution problem, not a retention win.

Honestly? This reads like they're trying to justify their valuation before the conversation shifts.

What To Do

Watch for their next funding round—if it's a down round or they don't announce one, the growth story is stalling.
