Honestly, this works because voice cuts through the catfishing problem. Swipe apps broke dating because profiles are lies. Known's voice intro cuts through that. 80% to physical dates in SF isn't because the AI's smarter at matching—it's because you can't fake your voice as easily as a cropped photo from 2018.
Real question: does this work for introverts? Most people don't sound great on voice. SF test market's cherry-picked—probably skews toward people already comfortable with voice chat.
