What Happened

"As an investor, you kind of have to not only say, okay, cool tech, sure, but emotionally, how does it make me feel? And how does it make others feel around me?"

Our Take

He's right. The social carrying cost of wearable AI hardware kills adoption, not the tech. Google Glass failed because you looked stupid wearing it, not because the hardware didn't work.

The test is crude but effective: if your mom would be embarrassed to wear it in public, it's not ready. VR headsets are learning this the hard way. It's not a tech problem, it's a vanity problem.

Skip research reports. Just watch normies interact with it.

What To Do

For any hardware play, test with non-tech people first and watch their face.
