another vendor lock-in play. nvidia's just making the training infrastructure easier to rent, which is great for hobbyists, but it just pushes the dependency further up the stack. it's selling convenience, not fundamental AI innovation. the real value is access to the GPU compute, not the managed service layer.

if you're training large models, you still need deep control over the cluster configuration and networking. this service is fine for small teams, but enterprises are going to fight over who controls the underlying compute and data storage.
