This matters because physical AI systems demand tighter integration between perception, planning, and control loops than typical software AI. Relying on cloud-based models like Opus for onboard robot decision-making introduces 400ms+ delays — unacceptable when a robot arm moves at 2m/s. Running Opus for real-time robotics control is just burning money and risking hardware.
