↗What Happened
In the past, users had to upload a full-body picture of themselves to virtually try on a piece of clothing. Now they can use a selfie and Nano Banana will generate a full-body digital version of them.
Our Take
This is solid product work. The friction drop from "upload a clean full-body shot" to "use your selfie" is exactly what drives adoption. Nano Banana generating avatars isn't new — Google had that. The smart move is shipping it as a one-click flow.
Fashion margins are thin. Even a 2-3% lift in try-on conversion equals real revenue. This'll work.
What To Do
If you're building e-commerce, start A/B testing this now — competitors will copy it within eight weeks.
