Honestly? Google just slapped AI onto an existing product and called it a feature. Visual responses, deep dives, sports briefs—none of it moves the needle for me. Gemini keeps losing to Claude and GPT-4 on reasoning, so why'd I use it here?
The real issue is that TV already works. I don't need Gemini explaining why my team lost; I need it to find something worth watching in the first place. Google ships products fast, not products people want to use.
If you're building on Google TV, don't bet on Gemini being the lock-in. The integration itself is the moat. That's what'll still be there in six months.
