Canvas in AI Mode is available to U.S. users in English for creating plans, projects, apps, and more.

Our Take

Google can integrate Canvas everywhere because they own search distribution. But integration doesn't equal usefulness.

Canvas in a search result for "build me a budget planner" sounds cool until you're three tabs deep trying to find what you actually needed. This is Google's classic move: throw AI at feature bloat.

Real question: do Canvas queries spike or do users bounce back to typing? Probably the latter.

What To Do

Skip this for now; check Canvas adoption metrics in 2 months — if queries don't move the needle, it's dead weight.
