Google Meet launches an AI-powered makeup feature

This might be the least useful AI feature ever shipped. Your video calls aren't bad because you're not wearing makeup—they're bad because Zoom fatigue is real, your lighting sucks, and nobody wants eight hours on camera. A virtual lipstick doesn't fix any of that.

Google's solving a problem nobody actually has. I've never heard someone say "I'd video call more with makeup filters."

Skip this entirely. Invest in better lighting instead.
