For the first time, developers can embed Google's Deep Research tool, based on Gemini 3 Pro, into their own apps.

Our Take

Look, both launches on the same day is pure marketing chess. But embedding Deep Research into apps is smarter than shipping another model bump. Developers need agent tools they can integrate — that's how you actually move the needle on adoption.

OpenAI's chasing capability numbers. Google's chasing distribution. Distribution wins if the costs don't crater margins. And costs are crashing right now.

What To Do

Test Deep Research embeds for research-heavy features — it's cheaper than fine-tuning a frontier model for the same use case.
