What Happened

The company's new product, called Gamma Imagine, will let users employ text prompts to create brand-specific assets like interactive charts and visualizations, marketing collateral, social graphics, and infographics.

Our Take

Gamma's playing catch-up. Image generation is table stakes now—Canva has it, Adobe has it, everybody's got it. Gamma Imagine is fine but also: who switches from Canva for slightly better AI images?

Real question is whether Gamma's presentation engine matters. That's where they could win.

But 'we added image gen' isn't defensible anymore. Differentiation is in the workflow, not the image quality.

What To Do

Evaluate Gamma on template quality and workflow speed, not image generation alone.
