What Happened

Ford Pro AI debuted at Work Truck Week in Indianapolis and is now available to all of its U.S.-based Pro telematics subscribers.

Our Take

This is the one that actually works. Fleet safety is a real problem, compliance costs money, Ford just solved it with data they already capture.

Genius part: Ford Pro subscribers already have telematics. They're already capturing seatbelt buckling. Ford's just using that data better—probably computer vision or sensor fusion—to flag non-compliance. ROI is immediate: fewer fines, fewer liability claims, fewer accidents. No hand-wavy 'AI transforms industry' speech needed.

This is what enterprise AI should look like: boring, specific, tied to revenue or risk reduction. Not revolutionary—just useful. That we're excited about this tells you how low the bar is for actual product-market fit.

What To Do

Charge fleet companies based on accidents prevented, not features shipped.
