EU launches antitrust probe into Google’s AI search tools

EU's poking Google over AI summaries cannibalizing publisher clicks—which, fair point. But this is regulatory theater. Google dominates search so badly that even if they lose this probe, they'll just degrade the feature for EU users and pocket the rest of the world's traffic.

The real issue nobody's talking about: if this wins, every country's going to demand the same concessions. That's actually the leverage here, not the antitrust case itself.
