Our Take

Arc had taste but no business model. Dia's trying to fix that.

Look, Arc proved you could build a browser with actual product thinking. Vertical tabs, spaces, search shortcuts — it all just worked. Problem: nobody's gonna pay $10/month for a browser in 2026.

Dia's doing the same moves (from their Arc team) but wrapping it in AI features. That's smarter, but they're still fighting Chrome's gravity.

Dia wins if monetization via AI assistant works — but Arc's death suggests UI taste alone won't sustain a browser.
