ClickUp adds new AI assistant to better compete with Slack and Notion

↗What Happened
ClickUp has been trying to better compete with the likes of Notion, Slack, and Microsoft Teams by providing calendar, communication, documents, enterprise search, and task tracking under one product.
Our Take
ClickUp's 'add more stuff' strategy loses to Notion (simplicity) and Slack (integrations). An AI assistant doesn't fix bloat—it *adds* to it. Users already can't find the right page, template, or module. Now there's an AI explaining the chaos instead of removing it.
This feels like panic—Notion added Pages, so ClickUp's adding their 8th search layer.
Don't use this as a signal to build the same way.
What To Do
Product bloat can't be fixed by adding more features, even AI ones.
