What Happened

AWS is releasing a lot of new AI tech, but the cloud infrastructure giant's enterprise customers may not be ready for it yet.

Our Take

Gut: AWS spent the whole week showing off AI features customers can't actually use yet. Classic enterprise sales move—sell the vision, support arrives later. They're shipping Bedrock updates, SageMaker tools, inference optimizations, but your actual problem is getting data clean enough to feed them.

The gap between "AWS released it" and "we're running it in production" is usually 18 months for enterprises. AWS knows this. They're betting you'll start PoCs now and be locked in by 2026.

Fine strategy if you've got time to experiment. Most teams don't.

What To Do

Skip the hype—ask your AWS rep what three customers are actually running in prod with these tools.
