Amazon’s AI assistant Alexa+ now works with Angi, Expedia, Square, and Yelp

Look, Alexa's already lost the AI assistant war. ChatGPT won. By the time Amazon's integrating with Expedia, everyone's already using ChatGPT for travel planning.

These integrations are fine technically—sure, Alexa can book your hotel. But why use a voice interface that's been mediocre for five years over a chatbot that actually works? Network effects cut both ways.

This feels like Amazon going through the motions on a legacy product.
