↗What Happened
Adobe is adding AI tools to Acrobat, including the ability to generate podcast summaries of files, create presentations, and a way for users to edit files using prompts.
Our Take
Editing PDFs with prompts? Table stakes by now—Cursor, Claude Projects, ChatGPT have been doing this for months. Podcast summaries sound nice until you realize Adobe's historically terrible at shipping AI features people actually use (looking at Firefly). The real question is whether this drives subscription growth. Spoiler: it won't. It's a checkbox feature.
What To Do
Skip it and use Perplexity to summarize podcasts—it's free and actually works.
